Bill sat down on the chair.
"Over eight hundred men dead, because of me. Eight hundred dead, six hundred injured." Bill said to himself
Omar sat down, he understand how Bill must be feeling right now and he wish he could do something that would make Bill feel better. But he got nothing, not even if his English is fluent.
"Bill, eat, eat." Omar said, hanging Bill a small plate of food, it wasn't fancy, just a bit of noodles and vegetable.
"Eight hundred American troops died, because of me. I don't have any appetite." Bill said
"Fault, no you. You follow order. Great power, say you come to US. Rally troops. You no say, great power say. Catholic spies, betray America. Tell Catholic rebels, you come. You no say, spy say. Catholic rebel attack, you no attack. No blame self. No blame self." Omar said
"Thanks, but it doesn't make it any easier." Bill said
"Me, know, but war. War bad. Bad happen. Catholic church, no good. But you west, let Catholic grow too big." Omar said
"It was never really our choice. They seized power in the fifth century. Emperor Constancy, the last Emperor of the west Roman Empire, created the Roman Catholic church, as a form of method to secure his power over the west Roman Empire and crown himself as the first pop. The Catholic church wrote up fake histories, Christians been persecuted by Romans, till Constancy liberated them and the Catholic church is established by Jesus. It is all lie. But what are you going to do about it? Constancy is in control and the church is what he used to stabilize his power. They say Constancy is the savior of the Christians, while in reality, he killed more Christian than any other Roman Emperors. The west Roman Empire might have collapsed after Constancy, but the Catholic church never did the Catholic church never did. They then control Europe, through a way similar as to now. They don't control the country, but they do control the government and in exchange for the King's loyalty, the church use their religion influence, to stabilize the King's power, otherwise, they kick the King off the throne, just as fast. Spain at one stage got away from the influence of the Catholic church, with the aid of the Moors Empire. After been liberated from the Catholic church, many of them converted to Islam, while some remain Christian, but their life and their interpretation of their own religion, is independent from the Catholic church. That is until, the Catholic church managed to retake that region. The Catholic church massacre the people of that region for disobeying the church, then the church wrote up fake history, saying the Muslim suppressed and massacred the people of Spain, till the Catholic church liberated them. So, it is so surprising when the Catholic church decided to invade the Middle East, with the crusaders, they can get troops from all over Europe. The place was really the Catholic church Empire, by dictating the interpretation of the Christian faith in Europe and for all people to follow their interpretation and then use that religion influence, to help kings to secure their power, in exchange for their loyalty. Traditionally the Kings in Europe, need to be crown by the Catholic church. It is only after printing press was been introduced to Europe, was some priests that disagree with the Catholic church, able to create their own church, by mass producing bible, to be send to the bible and then rally them to their new church. The Catholic church of course don't like it, but it was too late, but since then, continue religion disturbance, between different people who follow different churches, continue in Europe. But the Catholic church continue to have a major influence over Europe, until Napoleon marched into the Vatican city and take it down, ending the rule of the church once and for all. By the 20th century, a lot of people think the Catholic church have changed. I guess we are wrong. I mean, we should have seen the signs. Even after losing power, in the 20th century, the Catholic church continue to try to established the influence of the church through lobbying the government. They continue to lobby the government to act in accordance to the law of the Catholic church. We in the west use to love thinking of ourselves to be the symbol of freedom, human right, civil right and equality in a savage world and that we are the father to this savage world. But that is a complete joke, even in the 1970s century, some western countries, allow the Catholic church the operate their religion law of it is a sin for a woman to conduct fornication and let allow the Catholic church to throw women into Catholic prison for life. These women don't even get a trail. Some allow the Catholic church to take these women's children away from them by force. The church then misuse their power as these children's legal guardian to use the children as slaves, until they turn eighteen. In regards to whether to legalization of homosexual marriage, artificial insemination, test tube babies, the debate against it, is dominated by the voice of the Catholic church saying 'it is a sin', lobbying the government to act in accordance of the law of the Catholic church. By the late 21th century, the Asians whom now have a better understanding towards the west, laughed at us, whenever we see ourselves, as the leader of freedom, equality, human right and civil right, in a world that is against it. True, by the early 20th century, they already say that people have the right to freedom, providing they don't affect other's freedom, cause harm to others, cause social destruction or conduct treason to the country. And they put their money where their mouth is, their mainstream religion is Buddhism, it is not allow to eat meat, drink wine or lust, but nobody lobby for the government to enforce rules against it saying meat eating, wine drinking and lust is a sin. The Buddhist only set it as the rule for their own temple. Outside, they at most encourage people not to eat meat, drink wine or lust, but never try force it upon others by lobbying the government or via any other form of methods. Prior to 1980s, unwed mothers are frowned upon in Asia, just like in the west. But the worst thing that happen to unwed mother in some western countries, is to have their child confiscated by the Catholic church, get thrown into Catholic prison for the rest of her life and the church misuse their custody right to the child, to use the child as slave till he or she turn eighteen. The worst thing that happen to unwed mother in Asia, was to have some desperate housewives gossiping about her, behind her back and nothing more. At Asia disregards to whether you approved of homosexuality or not, people respect their right to be different, because they believe people have the right to freedom, providing they don't affect other's freedom, hurt others, cause social disturbance or conduct treason. Unlike in the west where some of those who doesn't approve of the gay would discriminate against them and gays need to defend themselves against this discrimination led by the Catholic church, arguing been gay isn't a choice, at Asia, everybody respect gay's right to be different, disregards to whether they approve it or not and even if they don't like it, they would still tolerate it. It is also why, despite both west and Asia frowned upon unwed mothers prior to 1980s, at the west unwed mother could be arrest by the Catholic church and thrown into Catholic prison for life, without trial and have their child confiscated, while in Asia, the worst that could happen is to have desperate housewives gossiping about her behind her back. The Asians usually don't laughed at the Americans, the only western country they still don't laugh at for thinking itself to be the symbol of human right, civil right and freedom, after gaining a better understanding toward the west, by late 21st century. Because, despite not been perfect, the Americans were willing to go into civil war, to fight for black people's right not to be slaves and their demonstration of pro civil right and human right ethic, demonstrated during the cold war and afterwards and just like the rest of the west, they are continue to improved, in such arena. The Asian didn't laughed at us Europeans for thinking of ourselves as symbol and leader of freedom, human right, civil right and equality, prior to late 21st century, because they still know little about us, but afterwards, they really laughed at us for thinking that way. The fact that the Catholic church continue to try force government to act in accordance to Catholic law, through lobbying the government, after Napoleon dismantle the Catholic church's indirect rule over Europe, by conquering the Vatican city, should have been the first sign that the church might not have changed, but because Napoleon ended their rule, the church can now only lobby and if the day come, the Catholic church would once again rebel and reestablished its Empire and use that to force others to follow the rules of the church. Nobody see this coming, until it is too late." Bill said
"Catholic church, Christian version of Taliban. Christian version of ISIS. No good, no good." Omar said.
"You know if you want, I can help you better your English if you like." Bill said
"Na. You no speak Arabic. Me speak little English. We talk, enough. After this, me no need English no more." Omar said
"Well, you want the good news or bad news." Major Frank Tucker, from the US army said.
"Eight hundred dead, I don't see the upside." Bill said
"Well, we caught the spy that leak the information to the Crusaders. And a whole series of Crusader spies, are now been caught, thirty two spies of the Crusaders, within army intelligence and CIA. Their network, would definitely take time to recover after this." Frank Tucker said
"Well, we already know that our intelligence is full of leaks, due to embeddedment of Crusader spies and that is why we are losing this war. Unlike, Australia, Canada and Russia, the US is not prepare to become the subject state of any other country. But the continue leak, mean there is no way we can win this war. We know the Crusaders cannot resist an opportunity to capture the King of England. So, when we heard about the arrival of the English King, we know this is our opportunity to smoke the Crusader's spy network out. So, with direct order from President Michael Kennedy and only small handful of elite American spies that the President trust, we decided to use the opportunity to smoke these Catholic spies out and it work. It will take a while, for the Crusader's spy network to recover and already a few under threat, have agree to change side to be our double agent against the Catholic church." Frank said
"So, this is all a hoax for you. Eight hundred dead soldiers." Bill said and then he lost it and punched Frank across the face.
Angrily Frank fight back, Omar and two other soldiers quickly pulled the two of them apart. Omar grabbed onto Bill another American soldier grabbed onto Frank.
"Eight hundred, eight hundred dead!" Bill yelled angrily
"So what!!! If we don't do this more American would be dead, more of our troops would be lost. Do you think I like seen these soldiers dead? But I would be damned, if I am not going to lose another state of the United States of America, to the crusaders, due to these traitors within our own rank. And if sacrificing eight hundred men, to smoke these spies out, then so be it." Frank said angrily.
Bill was still very angry.
"Bill, for the record, major Tucker's son, who served in the army artillery was beheaded by the crusaders only three months ago, after his units was been captured." An American soldier said.
Colonel Frank Truman is the crusader field commander in charged of the attack on the Americans to try capture Bill. Frank is under the command of Major General Gary Brown. Today, both Frank and Gary, face the questioning by the Catholic church of Catholic Federation of America, the nation formed by the Catholic church for the US land they conquered. The two men are waiting in a hallway, the hallway was all decorated with marbles. There is a big wooden door at the end of the hallway.
Frank and Gary waited in front of the huge door, to be question by the priests.
"We lost twelve hundred men dead, nine hundred injured. The infantiles obviously know we are coming. They were prepared. We lost huge quantity of soldiers and supplies and got nothing in return. I made the right call, calling off the attack." Frank said "I am a faithful Catholic, god damned it. My loyalty is to the church and god and nothing else. Everything I did, I did out of loyalty to the church. I made the right call."
A few seconds later, the great wooden door opened and a monk walked out. "You may now enter." The monk said
Frank and Gary walked into the room. There was a big long desk, with four priests sitting behind it. Behind the priests there is a big window. Two monks put two mates in front of the desk. Frank and Gary kneeled down in front of the priests on the mate.
"This is a former hearing, everything would be recorded, but remain in confidential, between us, the church and god. Do you understand this." One of the priests said
"Yes, father." Frank also said.
"Lieutenant Colonel Frank Truman, you are the field officer in command of the attack on Springfield, is that correct?" The first priest said
"Yes, father." Frank replied.
"And Major General Gary Brown, it is you who appointed Colonel Truman to such position, is that correct?" The same priest asked again
"Yes father. Lieutenant..." Gary's sentence was cut off.
'You will be given your chance to speak later, General." The first priest said
"Yes, father, sorry father." Gary said
"So, in your own word, what happened. Start from the beginning." The priest said
"Well, we received intelligence that the newly crowned King of the United Kingdom would be visiting troops in the US and his first stop would be the Springfield army base. I was been instructed by the church to conduct a full scale assault on Springfield. Our mission is to capture King Bill Windsor and if possible capture Springfield army base. Springfield army base is a highly fortified position, I advice the President and the church on the situation and launching a direct assault upon Springfield army base, might not be a wise idea. After the advice was been given, the order to take Springfield army base, stand. To make the mission possible success. I requested intelligence on Springfield army base, to make the invasion possible. I assigned Lieutenant Colonel Frank Truman, to be the field commander for position like this. He is the best field commander under my command, if anybody is to have an opportunity to take the base, he is our best chance. We mobilized over eight hundred troops as the first wave of assault, another twelve thousand on standby. At least twenty multi mini rocket's rocket launcher at once, additional sixty on stand by and forty cannons, air support, on standby. The enemy is obviously prepared for our arrival, either that or for some reason we got fed some bad intel. Within the first hour, the entire first wave of our troops was been wiped out, they had more than enough anti mini rocket weapon to take down most of our rockets. Our intelligence show they only have five, they obviously have more. The bunkers are well dug out to deal with our arrivals, our small missile attack caused minimum damages upon our enemy. In addition, they have huge quantity of reinforcement nearby, none of those reinforcement are previously there, all of these units are well camouflaged and hidden, including using holograms. Considering we have spies in all of those units, it is obviously they have cut all communication to the outside. In short period of time, the first set of mini rocket launchers was destroyed, air units was quickly destroy, our troops on the other hand was been taken down by the enemy with a combination of ground units, with air support. After three hours lieutenant colonel Frank Truman suggest for us to call off the attack, saying the enemy have enough firepower to take down whatever we are throwing at them. A few hours later, I gave my consent to seized the attack." Gary said
"Why did you consent to seized the attack." The first priest said
"Because we are losing way too much, over this. If the attack continue, our army would suffer greatly, for little or no gain. Even if we manage to take Springfield army base, the casualty we suffer, could cause us just to lose it later, maybe losing the entire state. As the General of the army, it is my obligation to look at the big picture and considering the big picture surrounding the situation, it is to my opinion this continue attack,would not be a good idea for us, in term of the big picture." Gary said.
"Do you believe you have to the best of your ability to succeed in this mission." The first priest asked
"I believe I have to the best of my ability and is still doing to the best of my ability, to bring the infidels to become under god and the church, as the will of god and church, by winning this war and putting them under the rule of the church and subject to this priority, I am to the best of my ability do what I can, to complete the mission of capturing Mr. Bill Windsor, King of the United Kingdom and Spring field army base." Gary said
'That would be all General. You may now leave." The first priest said
"Yes father. But if possible, I would like to accompany Colonel Truman, while he is been question." Gary said
"That would not be necessary." The first priest
"But either way, I would..." Gary's sentence was cut off
"That would be all General." The first priest said
"Yes, father. Sorry, father." Gary said and then he stood up and walked out of the room.
Gary walked out of the room and waited for Frank, in the hallway, decorated by marbles. Fifteen minutes later, Frank came out of the room, his expression seem distorted. But he didn't say anything.
"Do you want to tell me what happened in there, Frank?" Gary asked
"I am a loyal Catholic, my loyalty is only to the church and god." Frank said.
It was late at night, it was pouring with rain outside. Ten years of loyal service for the church, he believe his service in the military is the proudest service to the church. Frank dressed up in full uniform and put a bible in front of him. Then Frank kneel down and pray.
"Lord, I know what I do next is a sin. But it is the only way to prove my loyalty." Frank said
