Taiwan Prime Minister Charlotte Bisset walked into President Zhan Xiang-Shon's office. The truth is that Zhan Xiang-Shon never needed a Prime Minister, he is more than capable of running the country by himself. However, the constitution dictate there must be a Prime Minister. Despite the fact the Prime Minister is constitutionally the person that hold power to the administration of the state, the Prime Minister of Taiwan is appointed by the President after Senate approval and can be replace by the President at pleasure, Meaning, in reality, the Prime Minister's administration work for the President and is really his lieutenant. Zhan Xiang-Shon appointed Charlotte as Prime Minister due to a simple reason, he wanted to prove to the European refugees in Taiwan they will be welcome here and nobody would show prejudice towards them, Zhan Xiang-Shon thought, if one of these refugees can be appointed to become Prime Minister, it would send this message. By coincident, Charlotte is Taiwan educated, she came to Taiwan as an oversea student over twenty years ago and completed her master degree and PhD here, later she worked in Taiwan for over five years, till she return to France, to take care of her sick father. Zhan Xiang-Shon and Charlotte know each other back in university, in fact they dated, but those are all in the past now, their current relationship, is purely professional.
"Third case this year." Zhan Xiang-Shon said "One European Christians male assaulting two lesbian girls on the beach, saying it is a sin, it cause a street fight with another guy backing the girls. Police need to come in and break off the fight. The newspaper have a field day out of it. The university students are outraged saying if this is Asia, if they don't like it, go back to Europe."
Charlotte took a look at the news headline. She know this is going to a head ace, Taiwan's university students are very politically activated, during the past five years, there have been three university lead major rally in Taipei, with over twenty thousand people attending each. At Taiwan the right for public gathering, as long as you cause no social destruction or effecting freedom of others, is guaranteed by the constitution and these university students always make sure, the government have no excuse to say their protest is causing social destruction or effecting other's freedom, so they can stay for as long as they like and the government can't do anything about It.
"By tomorrow morning, this place will be crowing with university student, demanding the government to do something, against these Christian extremists from forcing their own religion view upon others." Zhan Xian-Shon said
"Our usual statement, it should support the university student. Taiwan's position on stuff like this have been very clear, it have been the principle for this country for hundred of years. People have the right to do anything they want, providing they don't disrupt society, effect other's freedom or cause treason. And all men have the responsibility to respect the freedom of others, in such arena, and tolerate any behavior they conduct, as a result. It is not just the principle of this country, these values have been embedded in Eastern value starting from over 2000 years ago. It is why, everybody in Asia, have been so tolerating towards the homosexuals, despite just like Europe, there are also quiet an amount of people that think it is not normal or sickening. In Europe those who dislike them just simply discriminate against them, this don't happen here." Charlotte said
"People who are in agreement of homosexual behavior, are not our biggest concern. Those Asians aren't in favor of it, are our biggest concern. Especially the Confucianism, they are furious. These people despite, not been in favor of homosexuals, are just like most Asians, who believe just because you don't like something about a person, you have no right to discriminate against them for it. They are supporting the gays on principle. They are already saying on television, this is Asia here, we don't discriminate against people because we don't like them, we don't discriminate against people, because we find their behavior immoral, we don't discriminate against people, because we find their behavior a sin in our religion. At Asia everybody have the right to do what they want, as long as they don't affect the freedom of others, disturb society or conduct treason and if these people cannot act in respect to this value, they should go back to Europe. These university students are furious, they felt nobody should be assaulted simply for this reason no matter what. Those whom dislike homosexuals, are even more furious they are saying, we think their behavior are disturbing too, do you see us assaulting them because of it? No, because nobody deserve to be assault, simply because another person have a problem with their action, because another person have a moral issue with your action or another person think your action is a sin in their religion. And what this man is doing is an outrage, if he cannot act in respect to other's freedom right, he should go leave this country." Zhan Xian-shon said
"The main problem is that this is not the first time something like this happen, this is the third time an European assaulted people for been homosexuals. Asians very much believe in this right to freedom value and responsibility to tolerate, these Europeans who so seriously violated it could cause very serious moral outrage, in the community" Charlotte said
"The question is what would the university students demand to be done and can we afford to do it." Zhan Xian-shon said
"Just give it to them, that is my take. At most they want further law, to prevent stuff like this from happening again. A further reform to anti discrimination law, to punish people like this, would be my guess." Charlotte said
"If that is the case, it would be easy. I am more worry, what if they demand something we can't afford to give." Zhan Xian-shon said
Part 2~
Bill arrived in the US to visit troops, fighting the Crusaders here. He took the longer but safer route, there was no report about his journey or his expected arrival to the US, till the day before arrival. He first travel from the Middle East to Vietnam, which due to the war with Communist China, is now also part of the Taiwan Empire, following the same government system, as China and Australia. Then, from Vietnam they took the train to Russia, whom is not under the control of the Catholic Republic of Europe and with the support from Asia, has managed to take parts of the former Soviet Union out of the control of the Catholic Republic of Europe, within the big push three years ago. Now, they are re strengthening their force, before making another push.
Then from Russia, Bill went to Alaska. A part of the US that is currently not involved in the civil war. Then Bill moved to Canada. Canada is now divided into East and West Canada. Facing similar problem to Australia. The government of Canada decided to make Canada a subject state, of Japan. Canada was originally a subject state of the UK.
It has the exact same government system as it was under Britain, which is exactly the same as Australia, until they become a subject state of Taiwan. Now there are two Canada, West Canada is a independent subject state of Japan, East Canada is the Catholic Democratic Republic of Canada, under the indirect rule of the Catholic church. Just like the Catholic Republic of Australia and Catholic Republic of Europe, the election is control by the Catholic church, where the church can decide who can run for office and who can't and if they like, the Catholic church veto elections and appoint people to various government position. All of West Canada's military high command are now Japanese, due to the same reason why all of Australia military high command are now from Singapore or South Africa.
Through Canada, Bill travel South to Western US. A team of ten Egyptian Special forces, headed by Omar served as Bill's bodyguard. Bill and Omar sat in a military vehicle. Bill was wearing full body armor and army color camouflage uniform.
"Be strong. Good King, strong, OK?" Omar said
"OK" Bill said
Bill and Omar walked out of the armor jeep. The other bodyguards came out of their armor jeeps too.
Bill started shaking hand with the soldiers.
"How are you." Bill said to one soldier, he said to the first soldier he shacked hand with
"Your majesty." The soldier said
"How are you" Bill shake hand with another soldier
"Good, how are you?"the soldier said
"Good, thanks for all the hard work." Bill said
Bill shook hand with one soldier after the next.
Bill talked to the soldiers for a while. Then he followed the soldiers around to visit some of their site. Half of the soldiers here are drafted personal, the other half are career soldiers.
A little while later suddenly explosion occur in front.
The alarm started screaming, busy soldiers running to their battle stations.
"In coming assault missiles" a soldier yelled, around one thousand missiles fired towards their direct. These assault missile are not big, heavy and expensive. They are mini missiles, much cheaper, than the long range ballistic missiles of the 21st century, these small missile are fire by specially designed rocket launchers capable of firing fifty of these things at once. These missile have the same fire power as to a standard cannon shell and like all missiles they have the disadvantage of been able to be intercepted and they are still more expensive to be produced then an artillery shell. But these rocket launchers can fire many of these rockets at once and it only take five minute for it to be reloaded. Each rocket launcher is mounted to a truck, which at any time can carry 500 of these small rockets, at once. Without anti air defense against these missiles, the enemy would be like been bombed by one thousand cannon shell, every five minutes, twelve thousand cannon shell per hour and two hundred and eighty eight thousand shell a day.
"Jesus, it is as if they are gathering a lot of firepower on this single location." A soldier said. The Crusaders dispatched 20 of these rocket launchers, to this attack and launched at least one thousand of these rockets at once.
"Take cover!!!" Bill heard a soldier yelled.
The American soldiers jumped into their iron bunkers. A group of US soldiers jumped to launch their anti air defensive weapons against this sort of missile. There include the anti air laser cannons, There include laser cannons these cannons are powered by lasers. A gunman aim an infrared red heat tracking gun at the attacking missiles. Once the infant red heat tracking gun locked onto an attacking missile, it continue to keep tracking that missile and in the same time, it send a wireless transmission to the laser cannon that would fire a laser to destroy the lock on missile. The infrared red gun can lock on to twenty missile at once. But the laser cannon is power by batteries, but each fully charged battery only have enough power to let the cannon fire ten round. The laser cannons are equip to allow two batteries to be plug in at any time, once one battery went flat, the cannon automatically switch to use the other battery a few soldiers stand by, so, to replace each empty battery with a new one, once it gone flat. The laser cannon is very heavy and is mounted to the top of a truck, the enemy is able to use the attack ray of the cannon to track its location and use their own cannons to hit and destroy the laser cannon, so, the truck is on constant move, while the laser cannon was been fired. Another type of defensive weapons that was been used here, is the anti air rocket launcher. It use the same type of inferno red gun as the laser anti air defense cannons, sending a wireless signal to the rocket launcher. The rocket launcher is loaded with ten rockets at once and take less than three seconds to reload. The rocket launcher is also launched to the back of a truck that is on constant move, to prevent been hit by enemy cannons. The defense guns started firing, most of the missile has been shot down, but two hundred shell hit the location.
"King guy in here." Omar said, quickly grabbing Bill into a bunker. Outside the bunker there was mass explosions.
Ïn another bunker there was continue radio with troops further behind the line, about for what is going on here. A few minutes later two Crusaders fighter jets appeared in the sky and launched number of bombs, but then three US F132 fighter jet appeared and opened fire.
The US army soldier quickly provided the air force with ground support firing six RPG rocket at the Crusaders fighter, whom are busy fighting the F132.
"Here is our chance, get Bill out of here." Omar said to the other special forces soldiers.
The crusaders fired another wave of rockets towards the US troops. This time, a group of crusaders troops advanced with the missile.
"Kill the infantile." The rally cry appeared from behind the Crusader line.
The Americans returned fire from their bunkers.
"Kill the English king, kill the English monarch for their Blasphemy." The Crusader troops yelled.
"For Jesus, for Jesus." The Crusaders yelled
"So that is why there are so many of them here, there is a leak that the British King is here. Well over my dead body, I would let them succeed." Omar said "King guy, go go."
Omar and his men started dragging Bill backwards. Some US army troops charged forward but after ten years of total war on home soil, the economic suck and there is an ammo limitation, so, only half the soldiers had bayonets, the other half was armed with a special design saber, the saber has batteries inside it, that heat the blade to five hundred degrees, making it easier to penetrate enemy body armors, but the saber is very heavy, it weight around five kilos. But the enemy have similar sabers, so the US troop's rifle must be made with the same type of alloy as the saber's blade, so when using it as a lance in melee combat, the enemy saber can't cut the rifle apart like butter.
The missiles fired by the crusaders don't discriminate and also killed many crusader troops that was engaged in melee combat with the Americans. But this time around the US anti air laser cannons and missiles focus on taking down the one behind the melee line. Then the Americans jumped out of their bunkers and fired number of field artillery, four of the twenty crusader's rocket launcher was hit. But two US anti air defense cannon was also destroyed, in the last missile assault.
Omar protected Bill to closer behind the line.
"There is a jeep over there." One soldier said.
"No, they are after Bill, they will be expecting him to be leaving in a helicopter or a jeep. And we are still in our enemy's artillery range." Omar said
"So what do we do?" The soldier said
Omar thought for a little while. "Bill, down, walk down, like snake. All four, like baby. No stand, ok?" His English is still very bad.
"We move further back, get out of range first, then onto a jeep. Whatever you do the package is most important, understand." Omar said to his men.
"Yes sir." The soldiers said, with that Bill and the Arab soldiers started climbing backwards, away from the battlefield.
In front of them, US tanks and helicopters row out, for reinforcement purpose. They blow their horns to alert their own soldiers to make way for the tanks, those who failed, to make way, the tanks can't afford to stop for them, so it would just run them over. There are soldiers around each tank. one of the tanks almost squashed Bill over, Omar quickly roll his over, but one of Omar's men had his legs squashed by a tank. Omar instructed one of his soldier to take care of the wounded guy
Number of pipes pop out of the roof of the tanks and launched numerous grenades upon the crusader's troops. Then the tanks stopped, their engines started sucking a huge quantity of air and exhausted them out from the bottom of the tank, using it as thrust, to lift the tank three meters into the sky and then they flew over the soldiers in melee combat and landed, the crusaders tried taking down the tanks with RPGs, but most of it didn't penetrate the tank's armor, although two tanks, was destroyed.
When Omar and his team crawl far enough, Omar radio a command center a few miles behind the front line, fifteen minutes later, an army jeep arrived, Omar loaded Bill and his wounded solider onto the jeep, himself and another soldier jumped into the jeep, others jogged.
Bill kept pressure on the wounded soldier, the jeep travel to a military hospital, where the wounded soldier was let off and Bill was exam by another doctor.
On the front line, the US now also fired mini rockets with rocket launchers against the crusaders, not expecting the huge scale attack on this location, the Americans only have four mini rockets launchers, but the Crusaders on the front line have no defense against the weapon and all two hundred rockets hit the crusaders. The Crusaders also fired few more waves of mini rockets upon the Americans, most mini missile was shot down, but some hit. But every time the crusaders launch a wave of attack with their mini rockets, the Americans used the field artillery to destroy a few more of the crusaders' rocket launchers. The American tank's surface heated up to three hundred degrees, so, no enemy troops can climb onto the tank. The Crusaders fired one wave of rockets, at the tanks, six tanks was destroyed. Once that was done, the tank stopped moving forward and infantry charged forward, shield by the grenade launchers of the tank, then the tanks started moving forward again. The crusaders fired another wave of missiles at the tanks, but this time, they only hit holograms.
Sometime later, Bill started seen wounded been rushed to the military hospital at where he was, in. The battle lasted till late at night. The commanders of the Crusaders realized. He is just wasting valuable resources on a mission that was going on where, the British King must be long gone by now and they lost many valuable troops and weapons, achieving no real objectives and he is obviously suffering way more causality then the Americans. All twenty rocket launchers was destroyed by the Americans within three hours. The Crusaders high command send in another fifty mini rocket's rocket launcher. But the field commander was suggesting for withdraw. After eight hours, the suggestion was approved and the Crusader's field commander was allowed to call off the attack and the commander order not to launch further attack. The causality rate was five crusaders to every American troop, after all the Crusaders are attacking an American defense strong hold, the position is well defended.
In the hospital where Bill and Omar was located, there was injured soldiers everywhere.
"All this for one King, one King without a country." Omar said to himself
"Two hundred and eighty dead, eight hundred and sixty injured. That is the estimated stats." One of Omar soldier said, "How is Ardon."
"He is with Allah now." Omar said
"Fuck. I don't know why are we protecting this guy. There is a war going out there and we are protecting a public relationship stunt" The soldier said "How did they know we are coming, anyway?"
"Before this war began, one in five American was a Catholic. After this war broke out, some of them convert away from the Catholic church. After knowing more about the truth of the Catholic church, through continue government education and knowing about all the horrible things the church is doing right now, even more converted away from the Catholic church. But there are always going to be those Catholic faithful, that would follow the church no matter what, even blindly, including the US. Consider, before all of these begin, one in five America is a Catholic and there are still so many whom are staying with the church, even after all these, should it be so surprising that there are so many intelligence leaks to the Catholic church. It is the same problem with every western country. That is why, Russia is now a subject state of South Korea, Canada is a subject state of Japan, the Australian now a subject state of Taiwan. And why, the rest of North and South America, is slowly loosing this war." Omar said
